In Chief Constable of the Lincolnshire Police v Stubbs the EAT has ruled that a male police officer who sexually harassed a female colleague at social events at a public house was acting in the "course of his employment" so as to make the police force vicariously liable for sex discrimination.
Deborah Stubbs was a member of the Lincolnshire Constabulary.
