Clarke v Crown Prosecution Service ET/5204410/99 (0 other reports)
In Clarke v Crown Prosecution Service a Birmingham employment tribunal (Chair: R F Ashton) holds that the Crown Prosecution Service's refusal to appoint a female solicitor to the position of Crown Prosecutor was discrimination on grounds of sex. Had she been male, "she would simply have been regarded as 'one of the lads' and would have been given the opportunity to prove her suitability".
