Evans v Cheshire County Council [2000] ET/2103159/99 (0 other reports)

In Evans v Cheshire County Council a Liverpool employment tribunal (Chair: M Homfray-Davies) rejects an application from a newspaper editor to lift a restricted reporting order on the grounds that although it restricted freedom of expression contrary to the Human Rights Act, the order was justified to protect the complainant's health.

Ms Evans claimed that while employed as the only female firefighter with Cheshire County Council she was discriminated against on grounds of sex.
