National Union of Mineworkers (Yorkshire Area) v Millward [1995] IRLR 411 EAT (0 other reports)
One trade union may transfer its engagements to another provided that, amongst other things, it holds a ballot to approve the transfer in which the right to vote is accorded equally to all members of the union. In National Union of Mineworkers (Yorkshire Area) v Millward, the EAT reverses a decision of the Certification Officer that a union's "limited members" were entitled to vote in such a ballot.
