Effa v (1) Alexandra Healthcare NHS Trust and (2) Jenkinson [1997] IT/45390/95 (0 other reports)
A black agency locum whose temporary appointment was summarily terminated after only two weeks, was unlawfully discriminated against on grounds of race, rules a Birmingham industrial tribunal (Chair: A J McCarry) in Effa v (1) Alexandra Healthcare NHS Trust and (2) Jenkinson. The employers stereotyped the locum and applied the standard of a "white" career to him.
