In Gridquest Ltd t/a Select Employment and others v Blackburn and others the EAT holds that a payment added to the basic hourly rate to cover holiday pay counted towards a worker's entitlement to paid leave under the Working Time Regulations 1998. This was so even though the payment was made without the knowledge of the worker.
