In Uzoamaka v Conflict & Change Ltd 28.5.99 Court of Appeal, the Court of Appeal holds that a neighbourhood project was entitled to summarily dismiss an employee whose unprofessional conduct could have brought it into disrepute. The employee's contract of employment included the project's disciplinary procedure and its definition of "gross misconduct" could, and did, embrace conduct short of that which would have been necessary to establish an employee's repudiation had it been a contract at common law with no specific terms.
