Armed Forces (Pensions and Compensation) Act 2004 comes into force

The Act provides a framework for a new occupational pension scheme for members of the armed forces. The Act also modernises the process for appealing against a decision on a pensions or compensation claim. The Act and the Order bringing the Act into force can be viewed on the OPSI website.
