Ban on using agency workers during strikes repealed

Implementation date: 21 July 2022

The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses (Amendment) Regulations 2022 (SI 2022/852) repeal reg.7 of the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 (SI 2003/3319). As a result, employment businesses are no longer prevented from supplying an agency worker to an employer to perform the duties of a worker who is on strike or taking part in other industrial action.
