Employment Relations Act 1999, paragraphs 3, 4, and 5 of Schedule 7 come into force

The paragraphs in Schedule 7 make amendments to the Employment Agencies Act 1973, section 6 (restrictions on the fees employment agencies can receive for finding employment for individuals) and section 9 (inspection of employment agencies by officers authorised by the Secretary of State) and insert a new section 11B (cost of investigation for offences committed by employment agencies) into the Act. The paragraphs come into force through the Employment Relations Act 1999 (Commencement No 9) Order 2003. The Order can be viewed on the OPSI website.
