Fair Employment and Treatment Order (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 come into force

Implementation date: 10 December 2003

The Regulations implement EC Directive 2000/78/EC, which establishes a general framework for equal treatment in employment and occupation so far as it relates to discrimination on grounds of religion or belief. The Regulations amend the Fair Employment and Treatment (Northern Ireland) Order 1998 in order to reflect the provisions of the Directive. The Regulations can be viewed on the OPSI website.
