Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010 come into force

Implementation date: 15 November 2010

The Regulations impose specific duties on employers in respect of the requirement, under arts.25 and 26 of the Fire and Rescue Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 (SI 2006/1254), to keep employees safe from harm caused by fire. The Regulations prescribe measures that employers must take in connection with: the review of assessments that take place to identify risks to the safety of employees in respect of harm caused by fire; employing young people; dangerous substances; and records of information following an assessment.
