Flexible working not extended to employees with children aged 17

The Flexible Working (Eligibility, Complaints and Remedies) (Amendment) (Revocation) Regulations 2011 (SI 2011/989) revoke the Flexible Working (Eligibility, Complaints and Remedies) (Amendment) Regulations 2010 (SI 2010/2991), which were due to extend the right to request flexible working to parents of children under the age of 18 on 6 April 2011. The right to request flexible working is available to parents of children under the age of 17 (or 18 if the child is disabled) and carers. The Regulations can be viewed on the UK legislation website.
