Furloughed employees entitled to statutory notice and redundancy payments based on normal pay

The Employment Rights Act 1996 (Coronavirus, Calculation of a Week's Pay) Regulations 2020 (SI 2020/814) provide that the calculation of a week's pay for certain statutory payments that arise on termination of employment, such as notice and redundancy pay, for employees furloughed under the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme is based on their normal pay rather than furlough pay.
