Increase in basic state pension

The basic state pension increases from £97.65 to £102.15 per week, in accordance with the rise in the retail prices index for the 12 months to September 2010. The Social Security Benefits Up-rating Order 2011 (SI 2011/821), which sets out the increase, can be viewed on the UK legislation website.
