Pension Protection Fund (Entry Rules) Regulations 2005 come into force

Implementation date: 6 April 2005

The Regulations make provision relating to various requirements under the Pensions Act 2004, Part 2. This includes setting out the circumstances in which insolvency proceedings in relation to the employer in relation to an eligible scheme are stayed or come to an end. Where these circumstances exist, the insolvency practitioner will be required to issue a notice to the effect that he or she is not able to confirm whether a scheme rescue has occurred or is not possible. The Regulations can be viewed on the OPSI website.
