Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 come into force

Implementation date: 2 April 2012

The Regulations amend the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) (Registration) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007 (SI 2007/3283), which make provision for the registration of registered persons who countersign applications for criminal record certificates and enhanced criminal record certificates. The amendments include that fees are now due no more than 30 days (previously, the time limit was 15 days) after the date of the invoice. The Regulations can be viewed on the UK legislation website.
