Police Pension (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010 come into force

Implementation date: 11 November 2010

The Regulations prescribe that employed constables of the National Policing Improvement Agency remain members of the pension scheme established by the Royal Ulster Constabulary Pensions Regulations 1988 (SR 1988/374). They ensure that certain benefits continue to be available where an employed constable is permanently disabled as a result of injury sustained during duty. The Regulations limit the amount of pensionable service that may be built up in certain circumstances under the Police Pension Scheme 2006. The Regulations can be viewed on the UK legislation website.
