Police Pensions (Additional Voluntary Contributions) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 come into force
Implementation date: 15 November 2003
The Regulations amend the Police Pensions (Additional Voluntary
Contributions) Regulations 1991, regulation 17 to provide that any appeals
under those Regulations by the Director General of the National Crime Squad, a
police member of that Squad, the Director General of the National Criminal
Intelligence Service or a police member of that Service shall be to the Crown
Court. Regulation 17 allows a person who is aggrieved by the refusal of the
police authority to admit a claim to receive as of right a pension, or a larger
pension than that granted, to appeal that decision. The Regulations can
be viewed on the OPSI website.
