Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 (Prescribed Purposes for Consideration of Suitability) Regulations 2011 come into force

Section 73(g) of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 provides that references in part 2 of the Act to a person considering an individual's suitability to do, or to be offered or supplied for, any type of regulated work, include considering the individual's suitability for "any other prescribed purpose". The Regulations set out other prescribed purposes under s.73(g) of the Act. The Regulations can be viewed on the UK legislation website.
