Redundancy Payments (Continuity of Employment in Local Government etc) (Modification) (Amendment) Order 2004 comes into force

The Order amends the Redundancy Payments (Continuity of Employment in Local Government etc) (Modification) Order 1999. The 1999 Order provided that employees who moved between certain listed local government employers or other employers in related sectors could be treated as if they had been continuously employed for the purposes of redundancy payments. The 2004 Order adds a large number of employers to that list. The Order can be viewed on the OPSI website.
