Right to Time Off for Study or Training Regulations 1999 come into force

Implementation date: 1 September 1999

The Regulations give employees aged 16 or 17 the right to a reasonable amount of paid time off work to undertake appropriate study or training if the have not achieved a certain level of qualification at school. The Regulations can be viewed on the OPSI website.
