Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 2009 come into force

The Regulations add a new act of driving, for the purpose of conveying children or vulnerable adults, to the list of activities that cannot be undertaken by persons prohibited from working with children and vulnerable adults, under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006. The Regulations also add to the definition of vulnerable adult someone receiving support, assistance and advice for the purposes of developing their capacity to live independently or sustaining their ability to do so.
