Share incentive plan limits increase

In Autumn statement 2013 the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced that the maximum value of shares that can be awarded under a share incentive plan increases to £3,600 per year for free shares and £1,800 per year for partnership shares. Under the Income Tax (Earnings and Pensions) Act 2003 (Amendment to SAYE Option Schemes Contributions Limit) Order 2014 (SI 2014/402), the maximum monthly amount that an employee can contribute towards buying shares under the save as you earn arrangements increases from £250 to £500.
