Social Security Benefits Up-rating Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010 come into force

Implementation date: 12 April 2010

The Regulations provide that where a question arises about the effect of the Social Security Benefits Up-rating Order (Northern Ireland) 2010 (SI 2010/118) on a benefit already in payment, the altered rate will not apply until that question is determined. They also restrict the application of the increases in that Order to persons living abroad. The Regulations make corresponding provision to Regulations made in Great Britain. The Regulations can be viewed on the OPSI website.
