Transfer of Employment (Pension Protection) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 come into force

Implementation date: 6 April 2005

The Regulations introduce the requirements contained in the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 2005, article 234. This section provides that, where there is a business transfer to which TUPE applies, and an employee has access to an occupational pension with employer contributions prior to the transfer, then the transferee employer must offer a transferred employee certain pension arrangements.
