Friend or FoE

Environmental campaign group Friends of the Earth (FoE) has applied for a judicial review of the government's decision to drop plans to introduce compulsory Operating and Financial Reviews (OFRs) for listed companies. Its application to the High Court argues that chancellor Gordon Brown failed to consult properly before abolishing the requirement, which would have forced 1,300 companies to report annually on social and environmental issues.
