HSE consults on new rights for safety representatives

Regulations requiring employers to consult safety representatives on significant risk assessments, and to respond to representations made on health and safety issues by workplace representatives, could be on the statute book in just one year's time if a consensus emerges in a forthcoming Health and Safety Executive (HSE) public consultation.
