Schedule for new disability rights

On 21 July 2005, the Department for Work and Pensions announced measures to implement the outstanding provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 2005.

From 5 December 2005, the scope of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 ("the DDA") will be extended to cover, effectively from the point of diagnosis, people with degenerative conditions such as HIV infection, cancer or multiple sclerosis.
