Policy of the week

Encouragingly, the vast majority of organisations (95.6%) that responded to our recent research grant paid bereavement leave. The majority of organisations give five or more days of paid leave for those relationships that are typically "closest" - spouses/civil partners, partners, parents, children, and children lost during pregnancy. To go alongside our research, we provide an example Supporting bereaved employees policy. We also have a separate model Parental bereavement leave policy and Supporting employees experiencing pregnancy loss policy.
