When to use this model coronavirus/safe working letter

Use this model HR letter to seek the agreement of an employee to change their start and finish times, as part of your organisation's safe working measures during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Warning: This letter is appropriate where the employee's contract of employment does not contain a clause in which the employer reserves the right to alter working hours as necessary. If the employee's contract has such a clause, agreement would not be needed. See below.
