Warning: The Job Support Scheme was due to open on 1 November 2020, following closure of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme on 31 October 2020. However, the Government extended the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme until 30 April 2021 and postponed the introduction of the Job Support Scheme.

Use this model HR letter to remind an employee who you are asking to agree reduced pay where the workplace is legally required to close because of coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions to sign and returning the agreement letter you sent, to claim for their wages under the "JSS Closed" element of the Job Support Scheme.
