When to use this model probation letter
Use this model HR letter to confirm the extension of an employee's probationary period because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Note: On 15 April 2020, the Government amended its guidance on the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme. An employer can now furlough an employee and make a claim for their wage costs under the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme if the employee was on the employer's payroll on 19 March 2020 (rather than 28 February 2020).
