Author: Darren Newman
When to use this model short-time working letter
Use this model HR letter to invite affected employees to a meeting to discuss a short-time working proposal, where there is no contractual right to place an employee on short-time working.
Warning: "Short-time working" is not the same as "flexible furloughing". For employers that are making use of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, furloughing the employee on a flexible part-time basis may be an alternative - see Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.
