When to use this model recruitment letter
Use this model letter to inform a candidate after an interview that their job application was not successful, after a final shortlist for the job has been agreed or an appointment made.
Many employers are conducting interviews remotely via telephone or online technology to comply with social distancing guidelines due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. HR can also use this letter to write to an unsuccessful candidate who was interviewed remotely.
