Use this model contract clause as a guide when preparing a zero hours contract. While there are a number of ways in which a zero hours contract can be drafted, for the purposes of this document, the employer has no obligation to offer an individual work, but when it does, the individual is required to accept the offer. We provide a separate model casual hours contract, under which the employer has no obligation to offer an individual work, and when it does, the individual is not required to accept the offer.
