List of key workers prioritised for educational provision during coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic

On 18 March 2020, the Government announced the closure of UK schools from the afternoon of 20 March, to reduce the risk of spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Educational establishments are required to continue to provide care for children who are vulnerable, and children of parents who work in one of the sectors specified in government guidance as critical to the response to deal with the coronavirus outbreak where their children cannot be safely cared for at home.

The list below sets out the key workers whose children will be prioritised to continue to attend school. Only one parent needs to be in a role on the list for their children to be prioritised.
