Recommended temperatures in the workplace

The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 (SI 1992/3004) state that, during working hours, the temperature in all workplaces inside buildings shall be "reasonable"1. The "Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 Approved Code of Practice" guides employers on this requirement by providing minimum temperatures, but not maximum temperatures2.
