Length of parental bereavement leave

Under the Parental Bereavement (Leave and Pay) Act 2018, working parents who suffer the loss of a child under the age of 18 or a stillbirth after 24 weeks of pregnancy are entitled to leave. This is irrespective of how long they have worked for their employer. Parents can take the leave as either a single block of two weeks, or as two separate blocks of one week each taken at different times.
