One-third of Scottish public bodies flout race laws

A third of Scotland's public bodies are not meeting the specific duties of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000, according to research conducted by the Commission for Racial Equality* (CRE).

The Act requires public bodies to publish a race equality scheme, draw up an action plan and organise monitoring exercises on employment and service delivery.
