Sexual orientation: a survey of union action
On 1 December 2003, the Employment
Equality (Sexual Orientation) Regulations came into effect. This legislation
protects employees against less favourable treatment on grounds of sexuality.
For the first time, lesbian, gay and bisexual workers have statutory protection
from discrimination.
