The 2010 IRS survey on working with trade unions looks at the time-off arrangements and facilities for trade unions and trade unionists in the workplace.

Key points

  • Of those employers that recognise one or more trade union, 95% said their recognition agreement covers time off for trade union duties, while 80% said it includes provision for time off for trade union activities.
