Inform a worker that they are not eligible to take a period of ordinary parental leave requested
Key points
Where a worker has requested a period of ordinary parental leave, but is not eligible to take it, the employer should write to the individual explaining the reasons for this.
For example, the individual may have insufficient service with the organisation, or have already exhausted their entitlement to ordinary parental leave in respect of the child.
