Invite an employee to a disciplinary hearing
Key points
If, following a disciplinary investigation, the employer decides that there is a case for the employee to answer, it should invite them to a disciplinary hearing.
The written notification of the hearing should contain sufficient information about the alleged misconduct for the employee to be able to prepare to answer the case.
The notification should explain the employee's statutory right to be accompanied at the hearing.
