Set up an out-of-school-hours scheme
Key points
Employers wishing to help employees who are parents of school-age children to work standard hours might look at providing access to an out-of-school-hours scheme such as an after-school club.
The most straightforward way for an employer to do this is to use existing local provision.
If the employer decides to set up its own scheme, some of the key considerations will be the premises, staff and meeting the requirements for Ofsted registration.
