Termination of employment due to long-term incapacity and payment for notice period worked example 1


Meena has been employed by her employer for 10 months when her contract of employment is terminated on the grounds of her long-term incapacity to work.

She has been off sick for more than six months and has exhausted her entitlement to both statutory and contractual sick pay. Under her contract, she is entitled to receive one month's notice of termination of employment.
