European Commission announces review of employment legislation
The European Commission announced in November 2010 that it is to review most of the existing EU employment legislation, with a view to clarifying and updating current rules.
The Commission published on 23 November 2010 a Communication (COM 2010 [682] final) entitled "An agenda for new skills and jobs: A European contribution towards full employment".
