Firms change car policies to accommodate CO2 legislation

Nearly a quarter of companies have adopted different strategies to manage car provision because of the forthcoming emissions-based tax regime, a survey from benefits specialist Alan Jones reveals1. Of those changing their car policy, one in three now specify that employees must use vehicles with lower emissions ratings, while a fifth allow employees greater flexibility to trade down to cheaper and more fuel-efficient cars.
