SDA amendment published

The government has published the long-awaited amendments to the Sex Discrimination Act responding to the judicial review proceedings brought by the EOC, Equal Opportunities Commission v Secretary of State for Trade and Industry.

The EOC successfully contended that the 2005 Regulations amending the Sex Discrimination Act incorrectly implement the requirements of the revised Equal Treatment Directive 2002/73/EC both in respect of harassment and in respect of pregnancy and maternity discrimination.
