Hannes Honecker
Hannes Honecker is a qualified lawyer and solicitor who specialises in labour and criminal law. He has provided legal counsel for Eastern European migrant workers on behalf of the Polish Social Council, and has acted as amicus curiae (friend of the court) for the Catholic Church and the German United Services Union in developing a legal aid office for undeclared migrant workers.
He is a board member of the Republican Lawyers Association and the Criminal Defence Lawyers Union in Berlin, chair of the Werner Holtfort Foundation, founder member of the European Centre for Constitutional and Human Rights and a training supervisor of the Judicial Examination Office in Berlin.
